What we do
Our mission, in action
Competition that celebrates South Bay surf culture, programs that get families and youth into the ocean, and work that educates and protects our shoreline.
Surf and paddle
Contests and races
Eight Surf Series contests a season with 11 divisions from Micro Grom Assist to Legends, and five Paddle Series races from the R10 to the 32-mile Catalina Classic. Family friendly, and a fun day at the beach for everyone.
Youth and families
Getting kids and families in the water
Grom-o-Rama is a contest day for our youngest surfers. The Intro Series opens up outrigger paddling, scuba, sailing, and deep-sea fishing to anyone curious. Scholarships and a Junior Board help local students grow.
Stewardship
Guardians of our local shoreline
Beach cleanups at our Adopt-a-Beach site at 26th St. in Manhattan Beach, Pints Above Plastics, StormWater advocacy, and educational tours of local facilities to see their impact on our coastline.
